UNSEEING:
Unseeing are those paintings that came out of something happening in my life; an event, a change, something funny, something frustrating or simply a feeling I got from visiting a particular place that made me reflect on the people and things around me. I tried to convey a sense of depth and emotion in each piece as I believe the story will tell itself.

HIDDEN PEOPLE:
These paintings reflect an observation of the people that are not seen; those who make changes to and shape our world as we eat, sleep or go about our daily lives. I am somewhat drawn to the correlation between the way society views the ostentatious and the unobtrusive, particularly the latter in what is evidently a modern and changing world.

LINES OF EMOTIONS:
I believe society has a particular way of dictating the rules. This collection is closely related to my personal past and some things happening now; things I’ve buried and things I kept above ground as a reminder that life's journey is a forward-moving event filled with moments that test us.  They either build us, break us or provide opportunities to break through barriers or break down walls.

THE SITTERS:
This collection tells a story of choice; where I came close to becoming another statistic in finding my voice and purpose as a young man navigating my future in order to shape who I would become. The collection is an introspection on how I made choices and took inspiration from the things and people around me, despite being ostrusized and discouraged - in finding my truth and understanding the importance of actualization.

FEELING THINGS:
These abstract paintings came about during a time of change in my life when I experienced moments of realisation and breakthrough during challenging times that saw me at my most vulnerable and strongest.  They are about colours, objects and objectivity, figures and figuring things out, and  the uneven landscapes of life; it's fragility in facing things and the resilience to rise up rather than shapes and shapelessness in Expressionism. Forms have been simplified and schematised to demonstrate realisations through geometric shapes and gester marks that connect with  sources of external visual reality and emotional states. There is an array of emotions in each piece from the subtle whisper of calmness and controls to the shouts of visceral anger, pain, chaos and listlessness in communicating voice and thoughts, to overwhelming joys and happiness of utopia.
