WAYNE FORRESTER, EARTHSCAPE Collection:Blue Before Spring, 2025
Wayne Forrester
EARTHSCAPE Collection: Blue Before Spring, 2025
Oil on canvas
50 cm x 60 cm

This pieces is about emotional resilience and change, and was born out of a period of transition, reflecting moments of breakthrough and strength during challenging times.  In terms of a “ A Balance of Opposites”,  the painting is designed to explore the tension between darkness and light, as well as the transition from one to the other, aimed at conveying human emotion.  It  uses vibrant colour compositions—specifically blues, in this context—and simplified geometric shapes to represent emotional states ranging from calm and control to "visceral anger, pain, [and] chaos".

The "Unseen" Aspects of Life is very visible in this piece. The painting itself is  meant to reflect the "uneven landscapes of life," focusing on the fragility of human nature.
